The Wylie View Message Board Rules Welcome to The Wylie View message board. By your completion of the registration process and your use of the message board, you agree to the Terms Of Service ("TOS") outlined herein. Additionally, the TOS may be updated from time to time. You agree that you will not use The Wylie View, LLC to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or otherwise in violation of any local, state, or federal law. Through your use of the message board system, you agree to abide by this and all future versions of the TOS.
When you start a topic, ONLY DO SO IN ONE FORUM. Please do not start multiple threads about the same subject in more than one section of the board. Find the appropriate forum for your topic and post your thread in that forum ONLY. If you own a business, any posts promoting your business, services, or specials may only be posted in the Buy, Sell, Trade, Giving Away forum per the rules outlined below. The Wylie View, LLC administrators posting as an administrator on behalf of the The Wylie View, LLC will use the underline and italics features throughout an entire post or in private messages when the administrator is using their personal account. This will distinguish official The Wylie View, LLC business from regular posts written by an administrator who is expressing their individual and personal opinions. The Wylie View, LLC, does not have access to your Private Messages (PMs) or Email. The LLC will not be held accountable or responsible for any transaction, discussion, personal claims, attacks, etc. made in PM or Email. Please take your concerns to the local authorities if you feel threatened in a PM or Email. Please do not post anything published by The Wylie News. You may post a link to any online article but do not, under any circumstances, post any text from either the online version or the hard copy. REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP SELECT YOUR USERNAME CAREFULLY. Once you register, you will NOT be able to change your username. Please do not ask the administrators to change your name; they do not have the ability to do this. If you wish to remain anonymous do not use your real name as your username. Do not use your full e-mail address as your username Please keep your user name office friendly. If your username is deemed unfit by The Wylie View, LLC, your registration will be denied. ONE USERNAME PER PERSON. Do not attempt to re-register using another username; doing so may lead to a permanent ban. YOUR REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED if you do not provide your real full name (first and last), your physical home address (business addresses and PO boxes are not acceptable), and your phone number. Your personal information is CONFIDENTIAL and will NOT be disclosed unless requested by court order or criminal investigation. While these measures may seem excessive, we take these precautions to protect our members and our online community. You will not have posting abilities until your information is verified and your registration is approved by The Wylie View, LLC. This process may take up to 24 hours. Please be patient and DO NOT attempt to re-register. MEMBER CONDUCT The Wylie View, LLC will only consider abusive situations (i.e. name calling) if the member who has been called a name or feels attacked reports it. If you would like The Wylie View, LLC to review a situation, it is your responsibility to notify the The Wylie View, LLC in a timely manner. No action will be taken otherwise. It remains the The Wylie View, LLC’s discretion as to whether or not any action is taken. Disruptive behavior exhibited on the message board, spam, or click-through advertising of any means will not be tolerated: doing so could result in warnings and/or a permanent or temporary ban. The Wylie View message board is office friendly and comments that refer to sexual innuendos, bodily functions, etc are not appropriate. Please keep these comments to yourself, or utilize the PM feature. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS If you violate any of the rules of the message board (or these TOS), action taken against you may include: a formal warning, a temporary ban, a permanent ban, or no action. The time limit for a temporary ban is at the sole discretion of The Wylie View, LLC. Immediate Permanent Ban is generally used in extreme cases in which the user is completely offensive or disruptive, however it may be utilized at any time The Wylie View, LLC deems necessary. The Wylie View, LLC administrators posting as an administrator on behalf of the The Wylie View, LLC will use the underline and italics features throughout an entire post or in private messages when the administrator is using their personal account. This will distinguish official The Wylie View, LLC business from regular posts written by an administrator who is expressing their individual and personal opinion SIGNATURE POLICY Signatures are limited to 250 characters in total. This includes spaces, hyphens, quotes, periods, etc. It also includes any HTML code used to place attributes on a font such as bold, underline, increasing the font size, color, graphic, or link. You are limited to one graphic which may not be larger than 450 pixels wide x 125 pixels high. Any signature graphic over this limit (including signatures that contain more than one graphic) will be deleted and you will be notified of the violation. Links to items or products for sale in your signature line is not allowed. This includes links to any online photo storage. BUY/SELL/TRADE/GIVING AWAY FORUM Each member is only allowed one (1) post per calendar day. Once the post is made, the thread is locked and no comments or bumping of the posted item is allowed. If you have an update on an item you may re-list the item as long as you have not already listed an item (or made a revision to a previously listed item) that calendar day. Any posts made after the one (1) allotted post per day will be removed. The actual item for sale must be listed in the topic title and any images of the item(s) must be included in the post. Do not post links or slideshows. Links to items or products for sale in your signature line is not allowed. This includes links to any online photo storage. No “click through” or “pay by the click” advertising allowed. Please remember that the Wylie View does not allow the sale of animals. You are welcome to post animals that need new homes, but do not request a fee of any kind. All contact between seller and buyer is to be conducted via PM or Email. If you have a problem with the seller, buyer, an item, or any aspect of the transaction, please use the PM or Email function. You buy or sell at your own risk and The Wylie View, LLC will not be held responsible for any aspect of any transaction. The Wylie View LLC has the right to require that you to cease listing an item for sale at any time deemed necessary. DISCLAIMERS The Wylie View, LLC reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone at any time for any reason. The Wylie View, LLC reserves the right to revoke your membership at any time without warning or cause. The Wylie View, LLC reserves the right to amend these terms of service, as needed, without warning or notification. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.
